Kibbeh at Yalla Beiruty: A Lebanese Icon

Kibbeh is often called the national dish of Lebanon, and once you taste it you understand why. It is a labor of love built around minced beef, bulgur (cracked wheat), onions, and spices — shaped, stuffed, and cooked in several traditional forms. At Yalla Beiruty we honor that tradition with several kibbeh dishes, all halal and made fresh from scratch with no artificial flavoring, coloring, or preservatives.

You can enjoy kibbeh at both of our locations: Dania Beach at 1104 S Federal Hwy and Coconut Creek at 6718 N State Road 7. Our family recipes, carried from our roots in Montreal across more than 15 years, keep every version true to its origins.

Fried Kibbeh

The most familiar form is our Fried Kibbeh — minced beef, bulgur, onions, and spices formed into football-shaped croquettes and fried until crisp. The shell shatters to reveal a savory, spiced filling inside. It is a staple of any hot appetizer spread and part of our Mix Hot Appetizer sampler.

Kibbeh Neyeh: The Raw Tradition

For the adventurous, Kibbeh Neyeh is a true delicacy: fresh raw ground beef blended with cracked wheat, fresh onions, mint, seasoning, and olive oil, served with garlic sauce, onions, and mint. It is the Lebanese answer to steak tartare and a dish many of our Lebanese guests light up to see on the menu. We also offer a Vegetarian Kibbeh Neyeh made with cracked wheat marinated with diced tomatoes, mint, and onions.

Kibbe Be Laban

If you prefer something warm and comforting, our Kibbe Be Laban features two kibbeh stuffed with spiced beef, simmered in a warm garlic-mint yogurt sauce and served over Lebanese rice with fresh almond slices. It is rich, soothing, and unlike anything else on the menu.

How to Enjoy Kibbeh

Kibbeh pairs naturally with hummus, labneh, and a fresh salad. Order the fried version as part of a mezze, or make Kibbe Be Laban your main for a cozy, hearty meal. However you have it, you are tasting one of the oldest and most beloved dishes in Lebanese cooking.
