Authentic Lebanese Shawarma at Yalla Beiruty
Shawarma is one of the most beloved dishes to come out of the Levant, and at Yalla Beiruty we make it the way you would eat it back home. Every cut of meat is marinated, stacked, and slow-cooked on a fire pit until the edges turn crisp and caramelized. There is no shortcut here: just like everything on our menu, our shawarma is made fresh from scratch daily with no artificial flavoring, coloring, or preservatives. That is the Beiruty promise, carried from our family’s roots in Montreal and built on more than 15 years of experience cooking Mediterranean food.
You will find our shawarma at both of our South Florida homes — our Dania Beach location at 1104 S Federal Hwy and our Coconut Creek location at 6718 N State Road 7. And because all of our food is halal, you can enjoy every bite with complete confidence.
How We Make Our Shawarma
The magic of good shawarma is patience. Our beef and chicken are marinated in a blend of spices passed down through generations, then cooked low and slow over a fire pit so the flavor builds layer by layer. When you order our Shawarma Beef Bite, thin slices of that tender beef are wrapped in markook — a paper-thin Lebanese flatbread — with a touch of tahini, onion, parsley, and turnips, then cut into bites. Our Shawarma Chicken Bite follows the same tradition, finished with garlic sauce and Middle Eastern pickles.
Beef vs. Chicken Shawarma
Both styles have their devoted fans. Beef shawarma is richer and deeper, with the pomegranate and tahini notes that define Lebanese cooking — try our Twisted Beef Shawarma appetizer, where slow-cooked beef is tossed with diced tomato, croutons, and pomegranate molasses over a bed of hummus. Chicken shawarma is lighter and bright with garlic, perfect if you prefer something a little leaner. If you cannot decide, that is exactly why our menu is so extensive.
What Makes Ours Different
Authentic shawarma is about more than the meat. It is the markook bread, the house-made garlic sauce, the pickled turnips, and the seasoning of love our chef Mo insists on. We pride ourselves on the quality of products and spices we use, and our regulars tell us it tastes like a trip home to Lebanon. Pair your shawarma with creamy hummus, crisp fattoush, or a side of our smoky Beiruty fries for the full experience.
